We are an honest and reliable company with repeat customers returning year after year, and we still supply some of our customers from when we first started the business. We take immense pride in the fact that we have never needed to advertise as work so heavily from customer recommendation. It's a testament to 2 generations of our family devoting their lives to providing fantastic customer service and innovative, beautiful products, but without our customers and their kind recommendations we would not be here today so thank you all, it is something we never take for granted.

In 1979, Kenny Maher from Bootle, Liverpool, opened Solarshade Blinds because he knew people wanted something new and different as window coverings. As a window cleaner by trade, it occurred to him one day whilst working the potential for blinds for everyone at an affordable price. He could see what customers wanted and went out of his way to give them the best quality he could. His passion and commitment to the window blind industry made him a success and he loved what he did.

He retired 5 years ago and passed down his company to his Daughter Katie and Son Kenny who have over 40 years combined experience in making and selling blinds. They are constantly trying to improve and continue to innovate this great company so hopefully it can continue for another generation beyond them.
